PVX Plus Technologies April Newsletter

We are thrilled to present two significant enhancements, .NET Interface and JSON Object, that will be included in the PxPlus 2025 version 22 release.

These are just two of the many enhancements you can expect.

Our customers recommended these new enhancements during the DireXions+ conference, as well as through surveys and one to one conversations.

The User Groups offered insightful commentary and suggestions for both enhancements and we would like to express our gratitude to every customer who took part.

We are excited for the upcoming VS Code User Groups.

As PxPlus 2025 launches next month, get ready for a wealth of new features, including our "How-To" videos and tutorials.

With many new enhancements and these training tools, we hope you can realize PxPlus 2025’s full potential and make learning its potent new features simpler than before.

.NET Interface

The new .NET interface for PxPlus unlocks seamless integration between PxPlus and the .NET ecosystem, empowering developers to tap into the full potential of .NET’s robust libraries,  bringing enhanced performance and flexibility to PxPlus applications.

There are several ways to define and interact with a .NET object.

You will be able to create a .NET object using the DEF OBJECT directive and add a .NET object in a NOMADS panel.

Here is an example of the .NET Calendar

JSON Object

JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) is a widely adopted format for representing structured data and is commonly used for data interchange between systems.

The new JSON object for PxPlus introduces a rich set of methods and features, significantly expanding its functionality and capabilities beyond the current JSON implementation in PxPlus.

Features include:

·         Performance (Both speed and memory)

·         Compatibility with arrays, strings, and the XML object

·         Ease of usability

Some of the new methods include:

·         Load_json_file and save_json_file allow saving and loading data from files

·         Force_ set functions allow bypassing data validation to improve performance

·         The find and find_any functions allow you to find keys that match a given regex mask

Additionally, with the new enhancements to the XML object, XML data can now be easily converted to JSON and vice versa using the updated objects.
