In January, we held our first Visual Studio Code Extension User Group meeting.
This meeting brought together five participants from around the globe for an engaging and productive session.
During the session, we shared our plans for the PxPlus 2026 VS Code extension and demonstrated several upcoming features.
The feedback was very positive and attendees were excited about the direction we are heading. Some highlights included:
Enhanced code navigation for labels, functions, and methods
WindX plug-in connectivity support
Compiling and listing programs
Workspace based settings override via INI file in root workspace directory
The ability to run the VS Code extension on Linux and macOS
We also gathered valuable suggestions for additional enhancements, which we will be investigating further.
It was a great meeting, and we would like to thank everyone who participated.
We are looking forward to reconnecting in a couple of months.
In December, we held a JSON User Group follow-up meeting to review the new JSON object and discuss next steps moving forward.
Our next .NET User Group meeting is scheduled for February. This meeting will review our planned PxPlus 2026 enhancements and invite participants to share ideas for new features.
We wanted to provide some guidance in regards to support tickets for server moves or server resets.
When submitting a support ticket for a server move or reset, please keep the following in mind:
Server move: Use this when upgrading to a new server, or a new PxPlus version on a new server
You can run and test on both the new and old servers, with the option to roll back if needed, which means if anything incorrect occurs during testing you can still go back to the same version you were on, on the old server
Server reset: If something goes wrong and you cannot access the old server, request a server reset, an example could be there is a virus on the old server
An administrative fee may apply for server resets
After activation: If the activation file shows as activated, while running the program, but a "no activation found" error occurs, then check the activation file permissions and ensure it has read/write access
Please note that we will be closed on Monday February 16th for the Family Day holiday in Ontario.
This is a day for us to take some time to spend with our families and those we love.
