Webster+ simplifies the process of generating web pages and setting up websites. Bundled with PxPlus (based on license), it offers portability of your application logic to the web. The generated web pages are responsive and designed to work across various devices. It gives you full control over the stylesheet design and it’s continually updated to ensure your framework never becomes obsolete. This highly scalable solution operates entirely on the web, making it accessible for both Nomads and non-Nomads users alike.
Webster+ is designed as an alternative to using iNomads to provide a Web interface to your application. Unlike iNomads, which required few, if any, changes to your application to run in a browser, Webster+ is designed to create browser-only applications.
Your application user interface will need to be redesigned to use Webster+ as it uses a standard REST-style interface where every exchange between the workstation/browser and the host is standalone with no residual resources maintained on the server between exchanges.
Simply put, this means when the user selects an option from a Webster+ HTML page, the page contents will be sent to the host, which will start a completely new instance of PxPlus to respond to that request. No values or files other than those derived from the page will be present at the start or remain at the end of the request.
While it may seem daunting to recreate your application’s user interface, Webster+ provides the ability to make use of much of your existing application logic. For example, NOMADS Queries and the Report Writer all work under Webster+. The File Maintenance Generator also now supports the generation of Webster+ HTML pages.
Our Continuous Care Program (CCP) gives PxPlus users access to the latest enhancements, tools, and security features.
CCP is available for all development serial numbers (licenses). Serial numbers may be enrolled on CCP when a new license is purchased or when a license is upgraded to the current version. The initial term of CCP is for one year after which it will continue indefinitely until discontinued either by PVX Plus or by the Client.
During the term of CCP, PVX Plus provides the client access to, and activation keys for, all software updates and applicable major/minor releases of the PVX Plus software associated with the serial numbers on CCP. Clients may install and utilize this updated software in accordance with the terms and conditions of the original license agreement for each serial number. Only those options covered by the CCP fee for each serial number are eligible for these updates. That is, updates made available for one serial number may not be available for other serial numbers that do not have CCP.
PVX Plus invoices CCP fees for each serial number covered. Should the CCP fees not be paid, access to software updates and activation keys may be withheld until PVX Plus receives payment of all outstanding fees.
Should any software upgrade, such as adding users or add-on components result in an increase in CCP fees, the increase will be effective as of the first of the month following the upgrade. Upgrades do not affect the term of the CCP.
The CCP fees for a serial number are based on the number of users registered to that serial number.
CCP Coming Soon: The PVX Plus Technologies team continually improves our products and programs. We are currently working to include an à la carte menu of additional functionalities available exclusively for CCP customers. Plus, customers on the program have the chance to share their voice on a VIP level on roadmap innovations and direction of our development efforts.
