"As a company, we have seen almost all Business Basic implementations pass by. Like many others, we started with MAI in the 80s and with the introduction of the IBM PC we switched to Thoroughbred and then ended up with BBx. With the arrival of Microsoft Windows 3.11 it became clear that the interface for writing graphical applications in BBx was very complex. That is when we discovered Sybex (later ProvideX/PxPlus) with which we could program graphical applications in a simple way. A WindX Client was offered at the earliest stage with which multi-user graphical applications can be used even if the server is a Unix and/or Linux machine.
The development team behind ProvideX was also very customer-oriented - instead of imposing their vision, they always listened to our wishes and concerns. The result of this is clearly visible in the language and development tools. The language is robust and easy to read and contains everything to build advanced business applications. The integrated development environment contains the RAD tools you expect in a modern product.
